Creative Spirits: Linocut Printing with Martin Loft

Come join us at Native Montreal for a 4 consecutive workshops with Mohawk artist Martin Loft.

Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum is used for a relief surface. This activity will be free and is for Indigenous youth aged 12 to 30 years old only. Spaces are limited so registration is necessary. You need to participate to all 4 workshops. You will receive a certificate at the end!

Schedule:

Tuesday evenings from 5PM to 8PM:

  • February 5th : Introduction, design and concepts
  • February 12th: Linocut two colours
  • February 19th: Linocut: Various techniques
  • February 26th: Linocut: Combine all techniques to work on a print
