Native Montreal's YOUTH COUNCIL

The Native Montreal Youth Council is comprised of 10 Indigenous youth aged 16 to 30 currently living in the Greater Montreal Area with a desire to be engaged in their community.

As a self-directed group, the council provides an exciting opportunity for young people to focus on the issues important to them while making an impact on the lives of other urban indigenous youth.

Membership to the Native Montreal Youth Council will mean taking on a formal role within Native Montreal to guide decision making while accessing training and skills development.

To participate

You must be Indigenous between the ages of 16 and 30 and be willing to attend two or more meetings a month between February 2019 and July 2019.

We value diversity and encourage youth that represent any aspect of our diverse Indigenous community to apply. Members are not expected to represent the voice of all Indigenous youth, and instead are encouraged to communicate their own opinions and perceptions of their community as a young person with the goal of contributing to the holistic health and cultural vibrancy of our community.

Registration will open in August 2020
