Indigenous language classes

Native Montreal is proud to contribute to the revitalization of Indigenous languages by offering free languages courses to its members. These introductory courses are designed to provide opportunities for Indigenous people to learn their languages and will help Indigenous people that have limited knowledge of their languages to improve them. We also want to provide an opportunity for non Indigenous people to discover one of the

indigenous languages spoken in Quebec.

Next semester starts on: September 2019

Next Registration Period:
Online form will be available for beginning of August 2019

Registration process:
Please note that we are using a new system for the registration process. You will need to create a Logizone account to access the final part of the registration. All personal information is treated confidentially and can only be accessed by employees responsible of Native Montreal programs.

Only one application is accepted per semester, so please choose carefully which course you are interested in the most.

Priority:
Since our classes have a limited number of places, we established a list of priority that reflects the needs of our community:

1- Indigenous member (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) who took a class the past semester and would like to register for the same class or for the next level

2- Indigenous member

3- Non-Indigenous member who is linked to an indigenous person (foster care, parent, children, partner...)

4- Non-Indigenous member linked to an Indigenous person.

5- Non-Indigenous member who works with the community (social worker, nurse...) who took a class the previous semester and would like to register to the same class or take the next level

6- Non-Indigenous member who works with the Indigenous community

7- Non-Indigenous member who took a class previous semester and would like to register for the same class or to the next level

8- Non-Indigenous member.

Please note that the date of registration will also be added to the priority listed above.
